Working Together for Every Learner

The Governing Body plays an important role in the success of Ysgol Bryn Alyn. Governors work alongside school leaders to ensure that every student receives the best possible education in a safe, supportive and ambitious learning environment.

Governors are volunteers who bring a wide range of skills, experience and expertise to the school. They work in partnership with the Headteacher, staff, students, parents and the Local Authority to help shape the future direction of the school.

What Do Governors Do?

The Governing Body focuses on the big picture and the long-term success of the school.

Their three key roles are:

Setting the Strategic Direction

Governors help determine:

Acting as a Critical Friend

Governors support and challenge the school by:

Ensuring Accountability

Governors ensure that:

Who Are Our Governors?

Governors come from a variety of backgrounds and represent different parts of the school community.
