Tackling Bullying
Tackling Bullying at Ysgol Bryn Alyn
At Ysgol Bryn Alyn, we are committed to creating a safe, supportive and inclusive environment where every student feels valued, respected and able to thrive. We believe that all members of our school community have the right to learn in an environment free from bullying, harassment and intimidation.

What is Bullying?
Most people understand bullying as behaviour by an individual or group, repeated over time, that is intended to hurt another individual or group either physically or emotionally.
Bullying can take many forms, including:
Physical bullying
Verbal bullying
Social or relational bullying
Cyberbullying
Prejudice-based bullying
All bullying, whatever the motivation or method, is unacceptable and will not be tolerated.

Reporting Bullying
We encourage all students to report bullying behaviour, whether they are experiencing it themselves or have witnessed it happening to someone else.
Students can report concerns in several ways:
The Bully Button
Students can confidentially report incidents of bullying through our Bully Button, located on the front page of our website. By clicking the button, pupils can complete a Google Form which is sent directly to staff so that concerns can be investigated and appropriate support provided.
Pastoral Hub Postbox
Students can also report bullying anonymously through the Pastoral Hub postbox, ensuring that every young person has a safe way to raise concerns.

Support for Parents and Carers
